Robbie Saslow, Instructor Look around your drawing table and you’re likely to see one of those fantastic, inexpensive and most readily available of all writing tools: the pencil! From the standard #2 graphite model to all manner of colored tools, pencils lend themselves beautifully to classic monoline letterforms, but they are also wonderfully adaptable to all sorts of fun and creative letters.

Sally Penley, Instructor The pleated scroll is a book form that, when opened, stretches out to a long wall hanging.  The covers are chyogami-paper-covered boards and the “book” is bound with waxed linen thread and bead embellishments.  The pleated inside is made with specialty paper blinds and can be black or white.

Participants will learn basic strokes to create an Angel suitable for tags, bags or cards. Some knowledge of using a pointed pen is helpful, but not required. Access to recorded video does not expire.

Instructor, Risa Gettler leads us through a decorative letter adorned with Rascally Rabbit and gouache from a 14th c. psalter. Participants receive a pattern to paint along with Risa - plus a bonus Visigothic Rabbit pattern. This one-session class is 3 hours for time to paint and create a special greeting.
