One Live & Recorded 4-Hour Paint-Along Session

This project is perfect for Mom (or someone with the "M" initial).
Create a beautifully detailed majuscule "M" in this Live online paint-along with Risa Gettler!
The pattern for this project is provided so participants can jump into tracing or printing the pattern on to good paper, then painting the pattern using gouache or colored pencil and mica-based paint.
Gilding in gold leaf is optional, as no gilding techniques will be covered in this class.
For those who wish to gild, please gild your letter prior to class time.
NOTE: The paint-along pattern for the session letter ‘M’ is provided.
If you are interested in painting a letter other than “M'“, alternate letters are available to all registered participants who wish to prepare a their own pattern to paint from.

This is the inspired image Risa will be painting during our session.
M Pattern
The basic line art drawing/pattern she is painting from looks like this:
Suggested size to work is approximately 5.5" x 8.5". You are welcome to print out the pattern at any size you wish to work at.
Download this pattern (located in this section of this class) and print (using a laser printer) onto good paper (like Arches Text Wove).
Or print this pattern out on bond paper, and use a light pad to trace the image and paint onto good paper as you follow along with Risa.
If you like gold leaf, you may gild the M prior to class, as Risa will use Fine Tec paint for the gold in this pattern.

Bonus C
This bonus Medieval Manuscript image of the letter "C" comes from the same manuscript the "M".
No pattern is provided for this image, however, you are welcome to download it and trace your own drawing/pattern.
If you would like a letter other than M or C, please email Risa with your request and she will do her best to accommodate your request.
