A GOOD internet connection (minimum speed of 30Mbps) is highly recommended for an optimal experience on the Zoom platform. Please make sure the most recent Zoom update is active on your computer prior to class.

PAPER:
• 8.5" X 11" - Arches Text Wove or your favorite paper (must feed thru printer)

PIGMENT:
• Gouache or Watercolors or Color Pencil
Primary colors to mix or use your favorite colors.
• Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White

TOOLS:
• BRUSHES - ROUND & POINTED: #4, #8 (and # 1 or #2) is helpful.
• PAINT PALETTE: 6-well or use what you have.
• BACKING BOARD and TAPE. Use a flat, smooth support to mount your paper to while you paint. Cardboard, Foam-core or cereal box are good options.

STANDARD SUPPLIES:
• Mixing dish(es)
• Water bottle with dropper
• Water container for rinsing brushes
• Paper towels

• Hands free magnifiers (optional but helpful)

PRINTER: Laser or Ink Jet (must accommodate project paper choice) to transfer the line art Pattern.
Laser Toner IS recommended because toner doesn’T react with water media.
Some Ink Jet (dye-based) printers will react with water media, smears and is NOT Recommended.

Printing Alternative - Take the supplied pattern and project paper to a self-service toner-based printer/copier at a local office supply store to print the pattern directly on to your paper choice.

• GOLD PIGMENT: Fine Tec pearlescent gold pan or Schmincke/Holbein Gold Gouache
• BURNISHING TOOL and GLASSINE: The back of a spoon and an alternative to glassine is a the clear window of a #10 envelope.
