Festive Fawn Supply List

  • Arches Text Wove - cut to 8.5" x 11" or A4 

  • Gouache - Burnt Sienna or your favorite red

  • Dr. Martin’s Bleed Proof White

  • #1 round pointed brush 

  • #8 round pointed brush* (for body of Festive Fawn)

Gold gouache or metallic watercolor - Any brand you prefer.

Supply Notes:
You're welcome to use your favorite paper. 
Print the supplied pattern onto the good paper OR
Use a light pad to trace the Festive Fawn with pencil or for a solid outline (to paint within) use a black Pigma Micron pen 05 size.

The Festive Fawn is a “hart" (a medieval red deer). The actual color is more like Burnt Sienna.

Risa will be using Holbein G501-Alizarin Crimson for a deeper red, holiday look. Feel free to change or mix colors of your choice as long as they are medium to dark value.

Risa uses FineTec Arabic Gold
There are two heart shapes located on the hip of the Festive Fawn.

*Risa works at half-page US size (8.5" x 5.5”). The page size you choose to print the supplied Festive Fawn line art pattern onto determines the larger size brush required to paint the body of the Festive Fawn. A #8 round pointed brush with with a good point is good for the 8.5" x 5.5" size.
