One 4-Hour Paint-Along Session

Join us for this angelic painting session with like-minded creative artists.

Participants work along with Risa using gouache or colored pencils or watercolors to illustrate and embellish during this session inspired from the Risa's 9th century Spanish medieval manuscript art collection.

The pattern is provided for participants to follow along, illustrate and embellish during this 4-hour session. Participants will print out provided pattern on a full sheet 8.5 x 11" with a 1" margin top and bottom.

SUPPLIES TO FOLLOW ALONG:
A GOOD internet connection (minimum speed of 30Mbps) is highly recommended for an optimal experience on the Zoom platform. Please make sure the most recent Zoom update is active on your computer prior to class.

Students receive Zoom link the morning of class.

SUPPLIES

• Pigments: Use what you have:

• Gouache, Watercolor or Colored Pencils

• Dr. Ph. Martins Bleed Proof White

• Brushes: Must be round and pointed.

• Small brushes (#1 round) Varying sizes (start with what you have).

• Cardboard backing & tape for mounting project paper to while you work.

• Water Container & Paper Towel for rinsing brushes and catching drips.

• Project Paper*:

  • One 8.5” x 5.5” piece of Arches Text Wove or 90# watercolor paper. OR other paper that can be fed through a laser toner printer.

    Laser Toner Printer - must accommodate project paper choice.
    Laser Toner IS recommended because toner doesn’t react with water media.
    Some Ink Jet (dye-based) printer dyes will react with water media, smear and is not Recommended.

  • Printing Alternative - Take the supplied pattern and project paper to a self-service toner-based printer/copier at a local office supply store to print the pattern directly on to your paper choice.

  • Fabriano 90 lb. watercolor paper.
