Participants receive a weekly selection of authentic images to explore a myriad of techniques used in medieval manuscript art including zodiac signs, anthropomorphic letters, floral letters, specific techniques including diapering, tooling, and, shading and painting with gouache.
Participants select one (or more, if desired) to create a line art Pattern to produce a small painting.
For the Medieval Potpourri series, participants receive the pre-session work with instructions on how to transfer the Pattern to good paper.
